UEFA Approval for Artificial Turf Pitches

The Executive Committee of the European Football Association decided at its meeting on 10 November 2004 in Vienna that UEFA competition matches may be held on artificial turf from the next season.

From this time onwards it will be permitted to play on approved synthetic turf surfaces in the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Cup and the qualifying matches for [FIFA] World Cups and [UEFA] European Championships.

Of course, Lenzing Plastics welcomes this general decision, from which its LenzingGrass product range may also expect continued positive effects in the future.
